Add Mollie to the payment-processor referral exclusion list

Hi Plausible team,

Your docs note that Plausible automatically excludes payment processors such as PayPal, Stripe and Paddle from referral sources, so they don’t pollute attribution when a visitor leaves to pay and comes back. Mollie (mollie.com) does not appear to be on that list.

We’re a Dutch e-commerce store and most customers pay via iDEAL through Mollie. Because the bank-app step often takes longer than the 30-minute session window, the return to our thank-you page starts a new session and gets attributed to mollie.com — it’s currently showing as roughly 25% of our sources, which crowds out the real acquisition channels.

Could you please add Mollie’s checkout domains to the built-in payment-processor exclusion list, the same way Stripe/PayPal/Paddle are handled? The relevant domains are:

mollie.com
www.mollie.com
pay.mollie.com

hi @Roy Dean! thanks for the suggestion. we don’t actually maintain exclusion lists for specific payment processor referral domains

the way we’ve built this to minimize payment processors from showing up as referral sources is that if a visitor returns to the site within the active 30-minute session window, we continue attributing activity to the original source rather than the returning referral

but in cases where the payment flow takes longer than 30 minutes such as the example you’re describing, the return visit starts a new session and the payment provider may appear as the referral source
