Comparison Shortcut: Month-over-Month

Add a comparison shortcut “month over month”, so i can easily compare analytics data between now <> previous month, not just previous week.

you can enable the comparison view with the keyboard shortcut X

it consideres whatever time range you’re viewing and compares based on that. so if you’re viewing the “last 28 days” range on the dashboard and enable the comparison, it would compare to 28 days prior to that

Hi, yes - but I would like to compare just one day a month ago (match day of the week).

Example: Today is May 26th (Monday), so I would like a shortcut to compare this day with (probably) April 28th (Monday).

If I just select today and I click on “compare with previous period” it compares by default with last week.

For our business, week-to-week comparison is more or less irrelevant. It’s much more interesting to compare month-by-month and that’s quite cumbersome to achieve currently!

ahhh ok i see. it’s something we can consider adding in the future. the way to do this right now would be to use the “custom period” option. basically view today, enable comparison and in the comparison menu pick “custom period” where you can select any specific day that you’d like to compare today with

Great, looking forward to seeing it because as you mentioned, yes there is a workaround but it is quite cumbersome and tedious, just too many clicks :)
